How to charge for EQUISYM? Usage, pricing, and business plan!

Your EQUISYM can be used in several situations, including the following:

EQUISYM allows you to quantify asymmetries in the head, withers and croup. While your clinical eye is essential, EQUISYM can help you refine your diagnosis or simply ensure that you don’t miss anything.

EQUISYM allows you to quantify a horse’s asymmetries and locomotion in concrete terms.

For sport horses, racehorses, or even leisure horses, it is interesting to monitor the horses’ locomotion in order to prevent potential disorders. Being able to quantify the horse’s locomotion when ‘everything is fine’ can thus make it possible to monitor its development and prevent potential disorders even before clinical signs appear.

Studies have shown that, particularly in the case of subtle lameness, there is variability in its assessment depending on the observer. While results tend to be relatively consistent within observers, a grade 1/5 lameness for one clinician may be a grade 2/5 for another practitioner. The use of EQUISYM when discussing cases with colleagues, allows these asymmetries to be effectively quantified.

Despite your experience and clinical eye, it can be difficult, particularly in cases of subtle lameness, to quantify the improvement or deterioration in locomotion over time (following treatment or diagnostic anaesthesia). EQUISYM, by objectifying the data, will enable you to overcome this difficulty and will confirm (or not!) your feelings.

EQUISYM can also be used in the case of purchasing visits during the locomotor assessment.

Most of our clients charge between €50 and €70 extra for a locomotor assessment when using EQUISYM. For regular clients, particularly those who carry out regular longitudinal monitoring of their horses, the rate is often reduced with a ‘multi-session card’ format.

You will also find attached a business plan that will help you make your pricing projections with EQUISYM®.
